You can save images to Memex in various ways
Saving an image to a note
- Right-click on an image and select "Save to Memex"
- Copy/Paste an image into the note editor
- Copy/Paste an image into the note editor (also local files)
- Drag&Drop an image into the note editor (also local files).This option sometimes does not work dependent on the image. Try one of the other option if it fails.
- Use a hotkey (default is alt/option+Q)
Creating a screenshot annotation in PDFs
You can draw rectangles in PDFs that take an anchored screenshot
- Click on "Draw Rectangle" in the PDF reader top bar Search
- Type in a keyword you remember from the page text
- Draw a rectangle around something you want to capture. Use the "Space" hotkey while drawing to move the rectangle around
Take YouTube video frame snapshots with one click
On YouTube videos you can capture the current frame as a new note
- Click on "Screenshot" button in the action bar under each YouTube video
