With Memex you can summarise websites, PDFs, Youtube videos, images & text selections.
It allows follow up questions, prompt templates, loading the context with selected text & images, switching between Claude and GPT as well as using your own OpenAI API key.
How to execute the AI Chat
Simply hover to the bottom right of the screen to the little 🧠 icon and then on “Ask”, or use the hotkey (default option/alt+Y). If you use Shift+hotkey/click it will auto-execute with the default template.
Prompt Templates
You can create one or many templates to use for your AI queries.
You can reorganise the order of them and the first prompt is always the default one used with the autofill.
Loading Context
You can load up the chat with the text, images, the current URL or video range you need.
Adding Text Sections
While the editor is open, simply select some text and press on “ask” to add it to the chat
Analyzing images
Drag & Drop or Copy/paste an image into the editor, or right click on it and pick “Analyze with AI”.
Sometimes Drag & Drop does not work because of the image format, use the copy function instead in those cases
Adding current page
Click on the “+ Context” button in the editor and then select “Current Page”
Changing the AI model
To change the model click on the model name at the bottom of the screen

Adding your own Open AI API key
You can do the AI queries at your own cost by providing the OpenAI api key.
